C.  HOMEOPATHIC NEWS

1.  Appointments to Transitional Council
A reminder to Ontario Members that May 30, 2008 is the deadline for receipt of applications for the positions of Registrar and members of the Transitional Council of the new College of Homeopaths of Ontario.  Please see Public Appointments Secretariat for details about these positions and the process required for a successful application.

2.  Taking Action to Support Homeopathy
There has been a growing onslaught of negative media coverage and government reaction against homeopathy in last 2 years.  The result has been an erosion of public and government confidence that has the potential of seriously damaging public access to quality homeopathic treatment in Canada and around the world.

The CSH Board believes that the homeopathic community needs to take a stand against this inaccurate and inflammatory media coverage.  There are several ways that you can take action now in support of homeopathy.  Check out the Take Action Now page on our website for campaign details and contact information.

3.  Council for Homeopathic Certification (CHC)
The CSH Board encourages all Registered and Associate members to apply for certification with the CHC, the only independent accrediting body for professional homeopaths in North America.  Each successful candidate contributes towards establishing high standards of competency for the homeopathic profession in Canada.

Start preparing now for the CHC certification process leading to the respected CCH credentials!  Check for details and application deadlines at the CHC website.

D.  EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

1.  CSH Professional Development
Registered members can use Continuing Education opportunities to collect Professional Development Credits (PDCs) as part of their commitment to their practice, the Society, and the homeopathic profession.  Check the Professional Development Credits webpage for a list of other homeopathic activities that qualify for PDCs.

2.  Mark Your Calendars!
A broad diversity of educational opportunities is available in Canada this year.  Look for seminars with leading homeopaths including:  Brown, Daly, Feldman, Gimbel, Guenther, Klein, Lee, Saine, Scholten, and Watson.  Check the Calendar webpage regularly for coming events in your area!
