HOME    >>ADVOCACY

The Canadian Society of Homeopaths is a recognized stakeholder in consultation with several provincial governments regarding legislated regulation of the profession.  We maintain that regulation is not advisable at this time due to inconsistencies within the profession and insufficient numbers of full-time practitioners.

At this time, Ontario is the only province to initiate regulation of homeopathy with the passing of the omnibus act of 2007.  In 2009, the government appointed a Transitional Council to establish the groundwork for the College of Homeopaths of Ontario.
